The 2024 reveal and later detailed programme

Alpine unveiled the R Ultime at the Paris Motor Show on 14 October 2024, then published further programme material in November 2025. The two dates should not be collapsed into either a 2025 first reveal or an assumption that every announced customer delivery occurred in 2024. The car is a defined factory edition with significant technical changes to the R family. Its collecting story combines that engineering programme with a highly personalized customer proposition, rather than depending only on the familiar A110 silhouette and a small headline number.

Rarity: 110 includes the 15 La Bleue cars

The manufacturer’s later material explicitly places the 15 La Bleue examples inside the overall 110-car R Ultime series. They should not be added to create a 125-car total. This profile records the parent edition’s official announced worldwide limit, while a separate La Bleue record can describe the subset without double-counting it. The reviewed releases do not separately reconcile all completed builds. Preserve the distinction between the edition limit, the included sub-series and the final manufacturing census when comparing rarity.

Power must retain its fuel condition

Alpine quotes maximum power of 345 hp with RON 102 fuel and 420 Nm in its programme descriptions. The fuel condition is part of the specification, not an optional footnote to remove from a headline. The 2024 release also marks its data as undergoing homologation at that time. Keep the announcement’s status and date clear rather than presenting every introductory figure as a certified measurement of a customer car. This profile does not give an unsupported universal output for other fuel grades or altered configurations.

The powertrain and chassis changes

The 2024 technical account identifies turbo modifications, a higher-torque-capacity DW6 gearbox, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust, adjustable Öhlins dampers and AP Racing braking equipment. These distinguish the Ultime programme from an ordinary R or Turini with special paint. For an individual example, establish the delivered equipment and inspect what remains installed. A component name in a launch release is useful context but not a service or condition report. Replacements and subsequent adjustments should be recorded so that factory specification and current configuration stay distinguishable.

Aerodynamic claims need their comparison scope

Alpine describes additional downforce at maximum speed compared with the R Turini. That comparison should not become a claim that the same aerodynamic load exists at all road speeds. The revised body elements and wing can be observed in photographs, while the numerical aerodynamic statement belongs to the manufacturer’s specified conditions. Date the reference and inspect an individual car’s actual equipment before applying it. A visually similar aftermarket part does not automatically reproduce a factory claim or establish that the car belongs to the Ultime edition.

Personalization within a defined edition

The programme offers Atelier and Atelier Sur-Mesure choices, with cabin and finish work involving Sabelt and Poltrona Frau. That allows considerable variation within the 110-car parent series. A special customer colour does not automatically create another independent numbered edition. Preserve the car’s exact original order and material schedule rather than treating a photograph of one configuration as the standard for every Ultime. Personalization is part of the factory proposition, and its documentary record can be important to understanding why two genuine examples look different.

La Bleue as a specific included presentation

Alpine identifies the Paris display car as La Bleue, with a handcrafted gradient between two Alpine blue shades and a coordinated interior. That presentation illustrates a defined 15-car subset within the parent edition. A generic blue car should not be assigned to that subset without the relevant factory evidence. The subset count and parent count can both be useful if their relationship remains explicit. A separate La Bleue profile should add its particular specification and identity story, rather than claiming another fifteen cars outside the 110.

Orders, deliveries and completed manufacture

The November 2025 programme release expected deliveries in early 2026. Later 2026 material reports the La Bleue allocation sold out. These are different milestones: a delivery plan, commercial allocation and completed manufacturing are not interchangeable. An individual invoice and build record can establish a particular car’s progress through the programme. A final edition census would need a source that explicitly accounts for completed cars. The database therefore preserves the official limit while leaving a verified completed-production total unset.

Authentication of a personalized Ultime

Gather the original order, build information, delivery specification, plaque details and documentation of any bespoke material or finish work. Correlate them with the physical car, including major technical assemblies. Resolve discrepancies in colour names or equipment through original records rather than a later advertisement. Personalized variation can be genuine, so comparison with one launch photograph is insufficient. The strongest file explains both why the car is an Ultime and how its particular factory configuration differs from other examples within the same edition.

Condition and specialist support

Assess the structure, aerodynamic components, wheels, brakes, suspension, cooling and powertrain with specialists familiar with the actual equipment. Review service records and documented road or track use. A high purchase price or small announced limit does not certify current condition. Likewise, extensive specification changes should not be described as a guarantee of easy operation without the appropriate support. A condition report needs to establish the car’s present state and intended use, while the factory file explains its original identity and configuration.

Collecting without a guaranteed-return claim

The Ultime’s limit and technical programme make it a clearly defined collecting subject, but they do not establish guaranteed appreciation or a current transaction value. Evaluate an individual car through documentation, condition, completeness and suitability for the intended collection. Preserve its factory personalization records and evidence of later work. A well-documented example can communicate the programme more convincingly than one described only through superlatives. The useful collecting story is the traceable car and its engineering context, rather than an unsupported financial promise attached to its rarity.

The checked Paris photograph

The bundled photograph shows a rear three-quarter detail of the blue Paris 2024 presentation, matched against Alpine’s official account of its La Bleue display car. The Commons filename uses the broader A110 R label; the visible configuration and manufacturer presentation establish the more specific context used here. A different image filed as Ultime showed an R 70 and was rejected. The selected image carries visible author, source and licence links. It illustrates a presentation configuration and does not identify a completed customer car or individual plaque number.

Frequently asked questions

Does 110 exclude the La Bleue cars?

No. Alpine explicitly includes the 15 La Bleue examples within the parent R Ultime series of 110.

Is 345 hp an unconditional figure?

No. The manufacturer’s maximum-power reference specifies RON 102 fuel; the 2024 announcement also identified its data as undergoing homologation then.

Does bespoke paint create a separate edition?

A personalized configuration remains within the documented parent series unless a distinct factory sub-series is specifically established.

Is the completed production total confirmed here?

The official edition limit is confirmed. Delivery plans and sold-out allocation reports are not substituted for a reconciled completed-build census.
