2021 Nissan GT-R T-spec — Japan Programme
Explore the GT-R T-spec — Japan Programme: history, verified identity, specification references, rarity evidence and real credited photos.

The Japanese T-spec programme launched in 2021 with Premium and Track Edition engineered by NISMO configurations, offered in Midnight Purple or Millennium Jade. Nissan planned one hundred initial cars across the two grades, selected by lottery. This profile consolidates the colour rows and later Japanese T-spec update rows into one programme, preserving the initial allocation's boundary instead of repeating it as a count for every colour, grade and model year.
Two grades in the initial programme
Nissan's September 2021 announcement named Premium Edition T-spec and Track Edition engineered by NISMO T-spec. These were configurations within the documented launch programme, sharing a combined planned allocation. The words T-spec did not mean that every GT-R grade gained the same equipment. An individual car should retain its original grade, build year and market before a detailed specification is assigned.
Nissan: initial T-spec grades, colours and combined allocation
One hundred shared, not one hundred each
The primary wording gives one hundred planned units across the two limited grades. It does not establish one hundred in each colour, another hundred for each grade or a permanent all-years worldwide cap. Later Japanese T-spec offerings need their own dated allocation evidence. This profile therefore stores the initial figure separately while leaving the completed programme total blank.
Purple and jade are colour choices
Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade connected the T-spec presentation with earlier GT-R heritage. Neither paint option is treated as another independent edition here. Original paint and delivery documents matter because a later repaint can reproduce the look without establishing programme membership. A genuine car can also change appearance through repair or restoration, making a document-led identification more useful than a colour-only judgement.

Equipment differs between Premium and Track
Nissan listed carbon-ceramic brakes and a carbon rear spoiler for the initial limited models. The Track-based version additionally used carbon roof and boot-lid components, while Premium had its own interior and wheel/suspension treatment. Those details should not be flattened into one universal T-spec equipment list. In particular, a Premium example is not incorrectly specified simply because it lacks a component reserved for the Track configuration.
Nissan: later Japanese T-spec update
Later updates without duplicate identities
The 2023 Japan-market announcement introduced a revised body and continuing T-spec specification. The inventory's later Japanese Premium T-spec rows are retained as programme aliases, with their dates preserved. This does not authenticate every later car against the initial hundred-unit plan. A complete vehicle file should connect the actual build to its original specification and allocation period before counting it or comparing it with a later market's special edition.
