These are existing vehicle profiles grouped by their recorded classification. Read each profile for its own source notes, image context and production scope. A shared collection does not establish that different editions or chassis are the same identity.
THE COLLECTION
72 profiles
Lotus 1976
The Lotus Type 77 explores a compact monocoque and unusually adjustable running-gear concept before the ground-effect Type 78. Its own programme is documented with a real later historic-racing photograph rather than a…
Porsche 1976
The original Porsche 935 turned the 911 Turbo lineage into a remarkably adaptable Group 5 racing programme. Introduced in 1976, it developed through increasingly specialised engines and bodywork while customer teams added…
Lotus 1977
The Lotus Type 78 makes underbody airflow central to the Formula One car’s design. Its Venturi-shaped sidepods and sealing skirts form a defined programme that precedes the more refined Type 79.
Renault 1977
The Renault RS01 put a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine onto the Formula One grid in 1977. Its importance comes from the risk Renault took and the engineering path it opened. This profile covers…
Toyota 1977
The familiar Sports 800 body concealed a very different experiment in 1977. Toyota’s gas-turbine hybrid research combined a turbine with electrical energy conversion long before the Prius. It belongs in an archive…
Chevrolet 1978
The 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica Edition combines a strong black-and-silver identity with a clearly bounded retail programme. Its racing association belongs to the commemorative edition; a replica-edition road…
Nissan 1978
The 1978 Datsun 280Z Black Pearl Edition is a documented North American special whose name Nissan later revived for the JUKE. Its appeal is the dark presentation of the original Z shape…
Lotus 1978
The Lotus Type 79 refines the ground-effect approach into the programme associated with the 1978 championships. Its full race-car name is essential because Lotus also used Type 79 for the unrelated road…
Mercedes-Benz 1978
The Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC 5.0 combined the long-roof proportions of the C 107 coupé with a lightweight-block V8 and a place in the marque’s rallying story. Its model name matters: this is…
Peugeot 1978
The works 504 V6 Coupé translated Peugeot's elegant road-car shape into a formidable African rally machine. Its 1978 Safari victory with Jean-Pierre Nicolas and Jean-Claude Lefebvre is the central reference for this…
Lotus 1979
The Lotus Esprit S2 World Championship Commemorative model translates the black-and-gold racing association into a named road-car programme. Its genuine factory identity is established separately from inconsistent published production totals.
Lotus 1979
The Lotus Type 80 extends the ground-effect concept beyond the Type 79’s established layout. Its primary history records both the ambition of longer underbody tunnels and the aerodynamic instability that limited the…
THE RARITY RIDES STANDARD
A limited offer is not automatically a completed-production total. A surviving vehicle is not a complete factory census. We keep those distinctions visible and link each collection back to the individual profile’s evidence.
