Team Mitsubishi Ralliart’s 2024 Asia Cross Country Rally effort is a documented competition programme with four entries, technical development and event-specific results. It is not a four-car customer special edition. The programme includes distinctions between the announced development specification and the individual vehicles actually used, making careful scope particularly valuable.

A four-entry competition effort with technical support

Mitsubishi’s July 2024 announcement describes Team Mitsubishi Ralliart’s AXCR effort, with Tant Sport operating the team and Mitsubishi providing technical support. The four-car entry plan establishes the event programme. It does not establish the complete number of rally bodies, test vehicles or rebuilds ever produced. The inventory’s chassis-specific wording is therefore narrowed to a supported programme record, with no invented individual VIN or chassis list.

The announced 2024 technical development

The July specification lists a 2,439 cc turbo-diesel 4N16, full-time four-wheel drive and a six-speed sequential transmission. It also describes a four-link coil-spring rear arrangement as a development change. Those details are documented programme references. Their significance, as editorial interpretation, is the attempt to improve both the vehicle’s ability to absorb rough terrain and the driver’s control of power delivery during a long cross-country event.

A result report prevents a specification shortcut

Mitsubishi’s August result release states that Kazuto Koide drove a 2023 model based on a production car and specifically mentions its 4LLc drive mode. That detail means the four entries must not all be described as identical examples of the July development table. This article preserves the difference. A team-level specification is a starting point for research, while the configuration of a particular entry needs vehicle- and event-matched records.

The 2024 event and the result that belongs to it

The manufacturer’s result announcement records Katsuhiko Taguchi fifth overall in AXCR 2024. It also records Chayapon Yotha’s retirement after leading, alongside the other team results. This was not an overall team victory to transfer from an earlier season. Event dates and finishing records stay attached to 2024, preventing a general Ralliart success story from obscuring what happened in this particular rally.

The exact programme photograph

The bundled manufacturer image documents the 2024 rally programme’s vehicle. It is supplied under the newsroom’s editorial-use terms, with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation credited visibly. The picture does not authenticate an individual chassis history or make every entry mechanically identical. A different race number, body panel or later livery would need to be reconciled through the programme’s records before becoming a claim about a surviving vehicle.

What an individual competition history would require

A chassis-specific profile would need a reliable chain connecting the physical vehicle to preparation records, entries, rebuilds and later custody. Driver names and race numbers can recur, while major mechanical assemblies can be replaced. Keep that evidence separate from the overall team account. This programme profile provides context for such work without claiming that the complete provenance of all four vehicles has already been established.

How this fits the Mitsubishi competition archive

MPR13 provides a comparison from Mitsubishi’s earlier Dakar history, and XRT supplies a related pickup design-preview record. Their links are useful because they connect different kinds of off-road projects. They do not imply common construction, identical sporting regulations or a continuous set of customer editions. Every programme retains its own year, technical reference, image scope and result, with no additive customer-road-production total.

Highest team finish Katsuhiko Taguchi, fifth overall

Rarity and production scope

Documented 2024 competition programme. Four event entries are not a total-build quantity and are not all assumed to share the same development specification. Excluded from customer road-production totals.

This record belongs to the archive. Concepts are excluded from customer road-production totals; a documented individual is a member of its wider model series and is not added as extra production.

Identifying the documented subject

Match the complete model name, date and programme to the linked evidence. Keep any chassis-specific provenance separate from a general description of the model. A period image confirms what was photographed, while a production or technical claim requires the corresponding document.

Continue through these connected Mitsubishi records, each with its own factory identity and production scope.

Frequently asked questions

What is the rarity scope of this archive record?

Documented 2024 competition programme. Four event entries are not a total-build quantity and are not all assumed to share the same development specification. Excluded from customer road-production totals.

Does the title date match every photograph?

2024 is the documentary reference used for the profile. A later exhibition or museum photograph can show the same programme. Its caption identifies the photographic scope without creating another edition.
