The Land Aircraft Carrier separates its road and air functions into a ground carrier and a deployable electric aircraft. XPENG AEROHT’s 2024 programme accounts describe that modular approach; credited 2025 exhibition photographs document physical examples of both elements. This Archive groups the overlapping prototype rows and keeps the development story separate from any future customer-production total.

A modular answer to the flying-car question

The January 2024 company announcement distinguishes the Land Aircraft Carrier from a separate integrated eVTOL sports-car proposal. That difference is the core of this profile. The modular programme carries an aircraft within a dedicated ground vehicle, rather than requiring the same body to perform every road and flight function. The source inventory’s 2023 programme reference is preserved, while the public profile uses the documented 2024 development account. The 2024 global-show row is grouped into the same programme, with no assumption that each presentation represents an additional constructed vehicle.

Two physical elements need two clearly scoped photographs

The included ground-carrier photograph is Tim Wu’s identified Auto Guangzhou view from November 2025. The aircraft image is Xuthoria’s separately captioned CES 2025 photograph. They document different elements at different exhibitions. They are not described as a verified matching vehicle-and-airframe pair, nor as photographs taken at the earlier announcement. As visual interpretation, the ground vehicle’s large rear body and three-axle proportions make the storage brief immediately apparent. The aircraft’s exposed rotor arrangement and landing structure communicate a very different operating task.

The carrier is a distinct part of the engineering brief

The contemporary programme announcement describes a three-axle, six-wheel ground module and range-extended electric power. It also presents the carrier as able to replenish the aircraft’s energy. This architecture gives each element a specialised role. As engineering interpretation, transporting and charging a separate aircraft creates a different packaging problem from folding flight hardware into a conventional sports-car body. The archive records that proposed relationship without assuming that every later exhibition vehicle retained identical batteries, charging equipment, seating or road specification.

The aircraft remains an aircraft

The 2024 account describes a two-seat electric flight module designed for vertical take-off and low-altitude operation. Its connection with a road carrier does not remove the need to distinguish flight testing, operational permission and certification. A public display with occupied seats is not evidence of an authorised passenger flight, and a photograph of rotors does not establish range or payload. The specification table therefore records the documented configuration rather than importing an attractive performance number from another development stage or from the separate X2 programme.

Announcements and delivery schedules must remain historical

The January 2024 release included intended preorder and delivery milestones. XPENG’s November 2024 AI Day account discussed another near-term public-flight and preorder schedule. Those statements record what the company planned at each date; they do not by themselves prove completed customer deliveries. This article deliberately keeps the prototype history separate from a current sales-status claim. A production total would require later, complete records for the same defined customer programme. Factory capacity, orders, proposed deliveries and constructed vehicles are different measures.

One programme record avoids unsupported extra vehicles

XPG-033 and XPG-042 overlap in their treatment of the modular prototype and its international presentation. They are represented by one programme profile here. The later pre-production and first-series candidates in the workbook retain their original non-Verified statuses and are not promoted through this grouping. A vehicle-level provenance file would need ground-vehicle identity, airframe identity, pairing records and dated modifications. Until those are available, the archive preserves the demonstrable architecture and exhibition history without turning every show appearance or future manufacturing phase into another rare numbered edition.

Specifications and dated identity reference

Reference phase 2024 manufacturer programme accounts; physical photographs from 2025
Architecture Separate ground carrier and deployable aircraft
Ground module described in the 2024 proposal Three axles; six wheels; range-extended electric power
Aircraft described in the 2024 proposal Two-seat electric VTOL module
Photo 1 Ground module; Auto Guangzhou, November 2025; Tim Wu
Photo 2 Aircraft module; captioned CES 2025; Xuthoria
Pairing qualification The photographs do not establish a matching ground vehicle and airframe
Inventory grouping XPG-033 with XPG-042; no added chassis per appearance

Archive scope and construction counts

This Archive follows the Land Aircraft Carrier prototype programme, with XPG-042 grouped into XPG-033. It covers documented development architecture and later physical exhibition examples, not a final customer-production allocation. The two supplied photographs do not establish a matched carrier-airframe pair. No exact construction, completion or survivor total is assigned, and the programme is excluded from road-production aggregation. Earlier announcement wording and later production candidates are not counted as additional rare vehicles.

Photographic subjects

Tim Wu’s photograph identifies the Land Aircraft Carrier ground module at Auto Guangzhou on 23 November 2025. It shows a physical six-wheel display example, under the later Aridge name. It is not a 2023 premiere image, and no matching airframe identity is inferred.

Xuthoria’s photograph is captioned as the modular flying-car aircraft at CES 2025 on 7 January 2025. The uploader’s event caption supplies the date; the camera metadata has an old default timestamp and is not treated as a construction date. This is not asserted to be the aircraft paired with the separately photographed ground carrier.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the integrated sports-car-shaped flying concept?

No. The 2024 company account treats that as a separate proposal. The Land Aircraft Carrier uses a ground vehicle and a separate aircraft.

Are the two photographed elements a documented matching pair?

No. They were photographed at different 2025 exhibitions. Their captions retain that limitation rather than implying a shared identity.

Does a projected delivery date prove completed customer vehicles?

No. A dated plan is part of programme history. Completion and delivery require later records for the exact production scope.
